This policy explains what data Weather Tether collects, why it's collected, and how you can control or delete it. We believe in being straightforward — no legalese, no surprises.

01 — Overview

Weather Tether ("the app", "we", "us") is an Android weather application developed by Arjune Mithu. The app requires an account to function and stores your location and account on our servers so your data syncs across devices.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We collect only what is needed to provide the service.

To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app controls or contact us at the address below.

07 — Children's Privacy

Weather Tether is safe for children and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We collect only essential data (email and saved cities), display no ads, and do not track or sell children's information. Parents can manage or delete their child's account anytime via Settings → Delete Account.

08 — Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are handled entirely by Firebase Authentication using industry-standard secure hashing. Session tokens are stored locally on your device and are refreshed periodically.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

09 — Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
